Anigozanthos 'Ruby Velvet':
Ruby Velvet has a blood red coloured flower that can reach up to 1m in height, and appears in Spring and early Summer. Its strappy leaves grow to 50cm in height. Once again the high nectar producing flowers encourage native birds to the landscape. 'Ruby Velvet' is frost hardy, and will thrive in a full sun in a well drained position. It is also an ideal plant for
display pots. For best results, use a slow release fertiliser
designed for Australian natives at planting. After flowering, remove the old flowering stems and leaves to encourage new growth and better flowers the following year
